Environment Design
I have designed high quality environment for this project, featuring corrupted woods Area, lakes, Underground Creature Nests, Farm areas, Barns, and safe houses.
Corrupted Woods
Night creatures are spawned in the corrupted wood areas at night, and they run back to their nests at dawn. Their nests are located in underground caves, which can be explored by the player as well.
Day and Night Cycle
This game supports a dynamic day/night cycle. During the day, players can go out and scavenge for items and loot; however they need to get back to the safe house before nightfall. Nighthunter and other night creatures (such as crawlers and wolves) spawn at night and hunt for the player.
Safe House Zone
Safe houses have totems which should be activated at nights, preventing night hunter to enter the house, however other night creatures can attack the base at night.
Safe House Generator
Each Safe house has a generator which can provide power to UV lights, UV lamps are portable and can be placed to desired locations by the player, UV lights can repel some of the night creatures if placed properly Generator requires Fuel To Run. can be refueled using the gas can
Safe House UV lights these lights require power to run , player needs to find/craft electric cable and connect the lamps to the generator manfully , then the lights can be picked up and placed at the proper location to deter night creatures
Safe House Doors and Windows
Night creatures can break open the doors/windows and enter the safe house. The player needs to barricade the doors/windows with wood planks,etc. Even that doesn't stop the enemy AIs from entering the house. The player needs to strategize the defenses, set up multi-layer defense lines, and survive until the morning.
